Gukesh wins Late Shailesh Nerlikar Memorial Online Blitz Open

GM Gukesh D and GM Aravindh Chithambaram both scored 7.5/9, however Gukesh won Late Shailesh Nerlikar Memorial Online Blitz Open due to a better tie-break score. Aravindh was placed second. Six players finished with 7.0/9, out of them IM Terry Renato of Peru secured the second runner-up position according to the tie-break score. Victorious Chess Academy organized this event and sponsored Rs.33000 total prize fund, IM Sagar Shah contributed another Rs.12000 to make the total prize fund Rs.45000.
Total 102 players including 10 GMs, 15 IMs, 2 WGMs and 4 WIMs from India, Ireland, Peru, Russia and USA took part in this event.

Victorious Chess Academy presents Late Shailesh Nerlikar Memorial Online Blitz Open 2020 will take place on Saturday with a total prize fund of Rs.33000/-. Summer Chess Camp in association with The Learning Tree

Please join us once again congratulate Avirat Chauhan (Magarpatta branch) for winning the recently concluded Late Bharatbai Halkude Memorial One Day State Rapid Chess Tournament - Under 7 category Avirat clinched the title by surprising all his opponents and winning ALL the 6 rounds. in the process of which Avirat also defeated a 1205 rated player. 48th NESSP Scholastic Chess Tournament

Rajit Naik from USA, an online student of Victorious Chess Academy for winning the recently concluded 48th NESSP Scholastic Chess Tournament at Groton, Massachusetts, USA. Rajit had participated in the Advanced section of the tournament and remained
unbeaten to score 3 points out of 4 which included 2 wins and 2 draws. Rajit has been taking Online Chess coaching from Victorious Chess Academy for the last several months under the guidance of Gargi ma'am, one of the senior trainers of Victorious Chess Academy, and has proven that he has a bright future ahead of him in Chess.

The students of VCA really worked hard to prove that their work needs a recognition.In the form of VCA scholarship, we have added one more feather to their hats.We declared scholarship in two sections, Beginners section and Intermediate- Advanced section. In both sections scholarship gets to one girl and one boy. Each winner gets a scholarship of Rs. 5000/- and a beautiful trophy. Here we have the winners of VCA Scholarship 2019. Great news! One of the Victorious Chess Academy student - Vedant Kale (age 6 years) won the first prize in the Under 6 category of the recently concluded One day Rapid Chess Tournament at Khadki. Vedant played in the under 8 categories and most of his opponents were elder than him. Vedant scored 5 points out of 7 and which included 4 wins and 2 draws. Vedant has been taking Chess coaching from Victorious Chess Academy for the last several months along with personal coaching from Shiva Sir from Victorious Chess Academy. Victorious Chess Academy congratulates Vedant for this great achievement and wishes him all the best for the upcoming tournaments.

Opening ceremony of VCA Hall

We are glad to share that Victorious Chess Academy has taken a remarkable step in the direction of spreading the beautiful game of chess. The organisation has designed a new VCA Hall in karvenagar for the promotion of chess events. The series of Classical, Rapid and Blitz events will be conducted in the same premises. The Opening ceremony was held on 7th June (Friday) by Prof. Medha Tai Kulkarni (MLA) Medha Tai had appreciated the efforts of entire team of VCA.
Anirudh Daga's remarkable performance in the Chess tournaments.

Happy to announce that one of our students has continued to show his remarkable performance in the Chess tournaments played in the last few months. His success journey in Chess continues.... Anirudh Daga, a 10 year old kid, who resides in Singapore has been taking Online chess coaching from Victorious Chess Academy since past one year. Constant guidance from our beloved Kapil Lohana Sir has helped him achieve this great performance. Just a couple of months back Anirudh's international rating was 1574 and as of today, Anirudh's rating would be around 1900 (The exact rating is not yet published as his last tournament ended on 31st July). This means Anirudh secured an increase in his rating points by a whopping more than 320 points in just 3 tournaments. Victorious Chess Academy wishes Anirudh all the very best in the upcoming tournaments and is surely an inspiration to the other students of Victorious Chess Academy.

Congratulate Disha Dhore for her remarkable performance in the recently concluded Pune Zonal Chess Tournament . Disha Dhore from Pune secured 2nd place in the Under 19 Girls category, by scoring 5 points out of 6 which included 4 wins and 2 draws. The tournament was conducted at Nutan Engineering and Research College, Talegaon, and was organized by District Sports Office, Pune under the recognition of Pune District Chess Association. Remarkable performance at district inter-school - Disha Dhore

Disha Dhore from Pune won the recently concluded Under 19 Girls District level Inter- School Chess Championship held at Pune. Disha dominated almost all his opponents by claiming 8.5 points out of 9. The championship was organized by Pune District Sports Office at Pathare School Sports Complex, Kharade, Pune. The 17 year old Disha is studying in 12th Standard in Abasaheb Garware College, Pune, and also is a student of Victorious Chess Academy whereby she is practicing Chess under the guidance of his Chess Coach Kapil Lohana”.

Dear all, We are glad to inform you about one more success story from Victorious Chess Academy. An Intelligent boy who is studying in 11th class and preparing for IIT entrance exam decided to participate in District School Selection Tournament without compromising with studies! He was unable to attend first round due to Unit Test in school and therefore could attend only 8 rounds out of possible 9. With his strong will to win and for the love of chess, he won all rounds with perfect score of 8/8 and emerged as a Champion! He is none other than our beloved dear Ameya Munemane who won U-19 District School Championship conducted from 27th to 30th Aug 2016 at Kharadi, Pune. We are glad to share the current success of students from Victorious Chess Academy.
-Yashwant Telang from Akola has won three tournaments in a row. The first event Title for Yashwant was at Palakmantri Buddhibal Chashak held at Akola on 4th Sep 2016. The Second Title was won by Yashwant in the event "Chess Festival" conducted by Janata Bank held at Akola on 11th Sep 2016 & Finally, Yashwant added one more feather in his hat after winning the Title in Amaravati division zonal selection for U-17 Boys at Amaravati on 13th Sep 2016.
-Sanika Telang played fantastic Chess to score perfect 5/5 points in Amravati division zonal selection for U-14 Girls but had to settle for second place according to Buchol's system.
-Disha Dhore stood 3rd in *Pune division zonal selection tournament for U-17 Girls conducted at Solapur from 13-14th Sep 2016.
-Ameya Munemane once again proved that he can balance between Chess and Studies by getting selected in Pune division zonal selection tournament for U-17 Boys conducted at Solapur from 13-14th Sep 2016.

Dear all, We are glad to share with you the current success of dear Saiarya Katkar in recently concluded state selection tournament at Amravati, Maharashtra. She scored 7.5 points out of possible 9 rounds and increased her ELO rating with 87 points to qualify for National U-15 Girls category. Saiarya is studying in 10th class and also preparing for IIT Entrance Exam. She believes chess helps her to get better in studies and to improve as a person. Saiarya will represent Maharashtra State in upcoming National selection event at Delhi from 20th Nov 2016. Dear all, We are glad to inform you that dear Siddhant Gaikwad is back in India after an excellent performance in Catalan circuit at Spain. He played five International events in Spain from 25th June to 10th Aug 2016, which includes the following: 1. Montcada Open 2. Barbera Open 3. Sant Marti Open 4. Sitges Open 5. Badalona Open Siddhant started his dream run in Catalan circuit with rating ELO 2003 and has gained 372 ELO points. As a results his live rating is ELO 2375 points! Success in district school selection

Dear all, We are glad to inform you about the success of three budding champions of Victorious Chess Academy in recently concluded District school selection tournaments in Akola and Pune district of Maharashtra. Dear Sanika Telang, Yashwant Telang, and Disha Dhore got selected for Zonal Level School Selection Tournaments. Sanika Telang won U-14 Girls category with the outstanding performance of 6/6 points and remained unbeatable in the event. Disha Dhore played excellent chess in U-17 Girls category to win the Title with 6.5 points out of possible 7 rounds. Yashwant Telang had to settle down for the 2nd position this time with a good score of 5.5 out of 6 rounds. Disha Dhore and Yashwant Telang are studying in 10th class and can successfully manage their time between studies, chess, and physical activities. September 2018 In the recently concluded District level Inter school Chess Championship at Akola, the Telang siblings made a remarkable performance. Yashwant Telang won the under 19 category by scoring 5.5 points out of 6. Sanika Telang secured second position in the under 14 category by scoring 6.5 points out of 7, whereas Rohini Telang secured 4th position in the under 14 category by scoring 6 points out of 7. Also, in Akola - Amravati Regional Inter school Chess championship, Yashwant Telang secured 2nd position in the under 19 category, whereas Sanika Telang secured 2nd position in the under 14 category. Yashwant, Sanika and Rohini have been taking Chess coaching from Victorious Chess Academy under the guidance of their Chess coach Shri Kapil Lohana".

Harsh Jeswani and Ashish Gupta won beginners and intermediate category respectively in the chess tournament conducted by Victorious Chess Academy. Karan Kumar and Yash Joshi came 2nd and 3rd in beginners category. Amey Munemane and A. Panchwadkar came 2nd and 3rd in Intermediate category. Nivaan Khandadia won the best player prize. Gargi Kulkarni won the best girls prize. Hrishaya Dhadage and Parthi Vinchwekar came 2nd and 3rd in girls category. The tournament is successfully conducted in Swiss league format under National Instructor Kapil Lohana.
