Chess – Competitive Rivalries & War on the Board!<\/strong><\/p>\n

So, when we say or hear word chess<\/strong><\/a>, what comes to our mind? It is a strategy? Or specifically a strategy of war<\/strong><\/em>. Yes, we must capture or kill opponent\u2019s army!\u00a0 We need to launch attack, upset the opponent, enter opponents\u2019 territory and showcase a mix of strategy and tactics to overpower our opponent!<\/p>\n

Sounds like a war and too much aggression?<\/strong><\/em> In words of one of the greatest people who played game of chess, 11th<\/sup> World Chess Champion, GM Bobby Fischer<\/strong><\/a>, it\u2019s a war on board with idea to crush the opponent\u2019s mind. Off the board there have been so many rivalries, to name a few \u2013 Karpov-Kasparov, Fischer-Spassky, Kramnik-Topalov, Anand-Carlsen etc<\/strong>.
